Peplum Polka Dots (I finally registered my domain name!)

Hello all! Are you sick of me addressing you in the same manner at the start of every post yet? I was considering switching things up a bit and trying 'Hello Everyone', but I am not sure I am ready for it...  I am a creature of repetition in many ways.
Moving on from that, I apologise for committing the sneaky outfit repeat sin here, I know you have all seen this one already. I just prefer the light in these versions and so thought I would share them!
I am also happy to tell you that I am now officially www.ArabellaG.com rather than .blogspot! It vexes me slightly that plain old Arabella.com was taken so I had to stick the G on the end, resulting in Arabellag looking like one strange, long word. No matter though, I am content!

I have also been thinking, how would you feel about a 'Wardrobe Tour' post? I always ADORE seeing into other people's wardrobes and having a nosey round, so perhaps you would also enjoy seeing into mine! Let me know!

Spring Dress

Hello all!
I hope you have all been basking in the beautiful weather today, I could not stop thinking what a perfect day it would be for a picnic!
This is the dress I wore to my brother's engagement party in Singapore about 3 months ago. It is probably very inappropriate for daywear but hey ho... any excuse to wear it again, I will take it!
I apologise in advance for the lighting in these photos which were taken just as the sun was setting, I always seem to have the worst timing when it comes to being available for photographs!

Baroque Print Shirt

Hello all!
I feel obliged to warn you, that if you are trying not to spend money, do not, I repeat DO NOT under any circumstances, go into Zara! I was on a bit of a roll in regards to restraining my spending, but alas... it all went rather wrong during last week. The silk shirt and leather trousers are both from Zara and were both quite inexpensive! I only have a few pieces from Zara and would not generally consider myself a fan, but I have to admit, they are swaying me and I was very impressed! So if you're looking for a few new spring-appropriate bits and bobs, definitely go and have a gander.

Finally, some of you may be wondering why you haven't been introduced to my new Toy Poodle puppy, Teddy! I'm just wondering whether you'd be happy with a full post about him or if you'd prefer me to just chuck a few photos of him on the end of another post? Let me know and I will yield to your demands! :)

Peplum Top & Polka-Dot Pencil Skirt

Hello all!
It's just after 1am as I write this, and I'm sat watching my friend Imogen playing on Zelda Skyward Sword on the Wii (Who has NEVER played a Zelda game before!! Zelda lovers, raise your hand now!) and listening to Phil Oakley after she hosted a 'Come Dine With Me' night where we were only allowed to communicate in a Scottish accent while we did the cooking.
As you can tell... I live a wild, wild life.
Anyway, the night before we both went to what is apparently referred to as a 'bop' held at Oxford University, which is basically a party inside the university grounds for the students, and this is what I wore for the evening! I've started to reaffirm my love for pencil skirts, despite the fact they make me feel a bit secretarial, as though I ought to be perched on the edge of a businessman's desk!

Sage Frill Waist Dress

I'm sure you're all aware of the beautiful clothing style that is the peplum! Peplums originated just after the second world war, in the mid 1940's (or so my Granny reassures me as I write this!) I've always been a fan, as I find them really flattering on my 'body shape' (cringe).
After Jason Wu recently ushered a collection of elegant peplum designs down the catwalk, they're inevitably going to become popular amongst the masses!
If you'd like to jump on the peplum bandwagon, but don't know how to go about it, this 'Ottoman' Dress by LOVE, with its frill waist detail, is a really wonderful alternative. Not only does it come in 5 colours (I want them all!) but it's actually surprisingly well made and inexpensive. As soon as I tried this dress on, I knew it would go perfectly with this lovely necklace from Ziba, and my bargain eBay sunglasses.
I think I've done that thing where you say a word so many times it looses its meaning and goes all weird... peplum peplum peplum.
