Double Breasted Blazer / Scalloped Collar Shirt / Pointed Shoes

Hello all!
I'm completely breaking all of my own rules here. I never, ever wear nude colours. Honestly, I've always believed that they don't go with my skin tone and make me look like a corpse. So when I picked out this blazer from SheInside that looked distinctly more blush-pink on the website, I was mildly horrified to open the package to discover it was in fact... the dreaded nude. I'm shocked to discover that actually, I really like it! I think the contrasting black collar makes a big difference in the sense that the nude colour isn't directly next to my skin. You'll know how fond I am of the slightly androgynous, suit-look on women, so I'll definitely be wearing this outfit again and I think the jacket is slightly reminiscent of some of Chanel's styles, which I adore of course. I'd love to know what you think of nude colours, how do you feel about them?

Blue Boucle Biker Jacket / White Polo Neck / High Bun

Hello all!
Since I've finished university for the summer I seem to be visiting London more and more. My most recent trip was to catch up with one of my oldest and much loved friend, Imogen - who has studied photography so you may notice she encouraged me to be a bit more adventurous with some street-style-esque walking shots. I'm pretty happy with them considering I was certain I was just going to look like a giant lolloping bear with terrible posture... but let's get back on topic. As you can see, the rich, beautiful colour of this jacket went perfectly with some dangly earrings I had of the same colour. I'm not usually a fan of 'matchy matchy' colours in an outfit (unless it's a co-ordinating suit!) but with the simplicity of the trousers, top and shoes, I think it worked quite nicely.

Embroidered Shirt / Cobalt Blue Details / Wide Brim Hat

Hello all!
I love how the boldness of the blue and the softness of the cream patterns embroidered into this shirt compliment each other so beautifully. It's also scattered with other lovely little details; like the gold & white buttons on the cuffs and how the pattern flows over the back of the shirt as well as the front. I also seem to be wearing these earrings non-stop, I don't want to bore you by showing you the same things more than once in a short period of time, but I think it's nice for you to see what I'm actually wearing. You'll also notice I got Teddy the Toy Poodle involved too - he was groomed not too long ago so I thought it'd be a perfect time for him to make a little cameo!

Pink Boucle Jacket / Oversized Bow Blouse / Organza Lace Skirt

Hello all!
I really feel like this is one of my favourite outfit posts I've ever shared with you; I'm so pleased with how it turned out and as you can see, I'm back in my favourite outfit-photographing location in South Kensington, London, where I spent the afternoon sitting at a street cafe eating chocolate crepes and drinking iced tea (insert emoji pig face here). Despite the fact that I don't smile too much on my blog (because I look like a little squirrel storing acorns in my cheeks for the winter) I'm actually a very happy, smiley person and I'm particularly happy at the moment.
I really love this pink and white colour combination, although the only minor complaint I have about the skirt is that it's one of those that just doesn't like to stay put when you sit down. Do you know what I'm getting at? It seemed to just voluntarily flash people when I sat down, resulting in the 'handbag on the lap' move which isn't too practical in most situations. I might forgive its behaviour for being so pretty... wouldn't you?

I actually wore this very same jacket and blouse combination in a previous outfit post whilst it was snowing, which I'll link here. I always find it inspiring to see how someone uses the same pieces in different temperates/weather conditions!

Vintage Ruched Shoulder 'Betty D' Dress / Chanel Earrings

Hello all!
I can truly say I have never been so happy with an online purchase; nicknamed the 'Betty D' dress after 60's siren Betty Draper from Mad Men, I couldn't be more delighted to add this vintage piece from 'Girl Stole' to my wardrobe. I'm usually sceptical about vintage dresses and never bother even trying them on, so buying one online was quite a leap. So, when I saw the measurements of this dress 'waist: 24inches' (my measurement!) I basically became a seagull from Finding Nemo. Mine... mineminemine. I honestly think this dress is so beautiful that if I'd seen it on a stranger and they'd told me it was vintage Chanel, I would have believed them without a doubt.

Pale Yellow Jacquard Crop Top / White Midi Skirt with Mesh Panel

Hello all!
Happy May Day! What a wonderfully sunny day we've had around Oxford today, where I handed in my final 3 assignments for my second year at university - meaning I am now free until September; when my third and final year begins!
Today I wore this lovely pale yellow, jacquard print crop top (which I had been pining after for weeks and then found ONE left in Oxford Street Topshop - in my size and in the sale!), I think the neckline and pattern is particularly beautiful. With it, I paired one of my favourite skirts and my mother's vintage gold chain necklace which you're all probably tired of seeing! I think, for now, until it gets warmer this is the most bare-leg I can possibly brave.
