Pink Floral Jacquard Dress with V-Back / Chandelier Earrings

Hello all!
If you don't like pink, shield your eyes...
The v-back on this Dahlia dress is such a pretty, thoughtful detail, and I'm so happy that more and more brands are cottoning on to the fact that there are lots of girls who like backless dresses, but who also don't like going braless... and as I've mentioned before, I'm one of them. When I was originally styling this dress I put it with some bright, cobalt blue shoes to try and add some different colours, then I thought maybe sticking with plain black accessories would be more traditional and safe - but as you can see, in the end I decided that the only sensible decision was to just wear all of the pinkest things I own at once, with some clashing red lips (is pinkest a real word?).

Pale Yellow Jacquard Crop Top / White Midi Skirt with Mesh Panel

Hello all!
Happy May Day! What a wonderfully sunny day we've had around Oxford today, where I handed in my final 3 assignments for my second year at university - meaning I am now free until September; when my third and final year begins!
Today I wore this lovely pale yellow, jacquard print crop top (which I had been pining after for weeks and then found ONE left in Oxford Street Topshop - in my size and in the sale!), I think the neckline and pattern is particularly beautiful. With it, I paired one of my favourite skirts and my mother's vintage gold chain necklace which you're all probably tired of seeing! I think, for now, until it gets warmer this is the most bare-leg I can possibly brave.

Exposed Zip Pencil Skirt / Polo Neck Top / Vintage Gold Chain

Hello all!
At the risk of sounding like I'm really bad at small talk / a pensioner / a Springwatch presenter ... how incredibly beautiful is this weather we've been having? I fully intended yesterday to comprise of nothing but sitting inside surrounded by papers, working on my university assignments - as you can see, I didn't quite succeed. This is outfit number 2 of 3 for my styling project with Voucher Codes (you can see Outfit 1 here!) As I said along with my first outfit, Voucher Codes challenged me to buy 3 items, creating an outfit around each piece - fitting under the two categories I chose; 'Modern 60s' and 'Monochrome'.
Being a Mad Men fan, creating the 'Modern 60s' look was the one I've been the most excited about. Initially, I planned to practice some wide-eyed expressions and seek out a geometric pattern a la Twiggy but decided that the opportunity of dressing up as a modern version of Mad Men office-goddess Joan Holloway might be too fun to pass up. So, I created this outfit around this futuristic, secretarial pencil skirt with an exposed zip detail.

p.s. I've finally given in and created a Facebook page for my blog, although with Arabella being my actual name.. inviting my friends to 'please like Arabella' doesn't exactly sound great..

Top, Belt & Skirt : River Island c/o Voucher Codes. Necklace : Vintage. Sunglasses : c/o eBay. Earrings : Topshop. Shoes : ZARA.

P.S. I'm aware the necklace is decidedly more 80s (it actually belonged to my mother!) but I couldn't resist incorporating it! I would also not recommend this belt to you... despite it's beautifulness, you can see from the photos that the size SMALL (?!) is too big for my waist by a good couple of inches so I'll have to return it, which is ridiculous and disappointing. ALSO, Beehive-making is so much harder than it looks. I definitely need some tips from beehive queen Olivia.

Spiked Shoulder Blazer / Metal Toe Cap Heels

Hello all!
Autumn is just over the horizon and I must admit, I couldn't be happier about it! I've never been one to particularly relish dressing for the warmer months. It's hardly as if I have a fabulous tan to show off.. I've grown to accept that I will forever be ghostly pale all year round. So as the days get shorter and the temperature gets cooler (phew!) I'm probably more excited than I should be to get my favourite leather trousers back on and introduce knitwear back into my wardrobe - which I've already begun, with a knitted speckled racerback vest (which I just had to purchase after seeing it worn so well by the lovely Shope!)
How are you all feeling about autumnal dressing?
Also, not entirely sure what to say about my hair lately.. you know those occasional little tufts of baby hair everyone gets? I seem to have sprouted an ENTIRE fresh head's worth.. I'm looking slightly reminiscent of The Weetos Man

Necklace & Hand Chain : c/o Rock N' Rose. Blazer (mine's a size 'L' for an oversized look)/ Shoes : ZARA. Top : Urban Outfitters. Trousers : Topshop. Ring : Granny's! Sunglasses : c/o eBay/Asos Marketplace.

Boucle Jacket and Bow Tie in Notting Hill (London - Part 2)

Hello all!
For the first of my few days enjoying the long Jubilee weekend around London, my lovely friend Bianca and I spent an absolutely gorgeous day in Notting Hill exploring, sitting in a street cafe sipping frappuccinos, lusting over the beautiful rows of houses, snooping around the markets and enjoying the local 'sights' (and there are definitely some interesting 'sights' to be seen - mainly involving who I can only assume to be the resident local mad woman throwing cake at pigeons. Yes you read that correctly..)
I apologise for the fact that you've all already seen this outfit before - but at the very least you can be assured from these photos that I do actually wear my 'blog outfits' out and about in real life! (There's nothing wrong with embellishment for the camera, of course - but we all know it's not unusual for some outfits across the internet to never leave the house/back garden!)
(Boucle Jacket : ASOS. Bow Tie/Skirt : Primark(!?) Shirt/Belt : Topshop. Shoes : Topshop 'Allegras'. Sunglasses : eBay. Bag : Chanel.)

Floral Trousers and Peplum Top

Hello all!
Firstly, I know it's most likely that you'll have already seen these trousers on several blogs as EVERYONE has them, but in my opinion you can never have too much 'ways to wear' inspiration, so - I thought I would throw my hat into the styling ring.
Secondly, after months and months of being smug and protesting 'I will never get Twitter!' ...I got twitter. Forgive me! I assure you that I am a woman of strong principles, but in this instance my resolve was shaken! After stalking noticing several of my favourite bloggers (i.e. Michelle/Emma etc) chatting amongst themselves on twitter, I felt it was probably time I muscled in and tried to get involved. So if you'd like to, you can follow me by clicking here :)

Top : River Island. Necklace & Trousers : H&M (eBay). Sunglasses : Camden Market. Lipstick : 'Morange' by M.A.C.

Thirdly, and then the waffling will cease I promise, has anyone else noticed the 'follow' button has gone from the top left hand corner of blogger? I keep stumbling across people that I'd like to follow but I cannot, and in turn I've had people telling me they are unable to follow me. I'm hoping that it is just a temporary glitch, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has noticed this problem?

I hope you are all having a happy week!
