Dungarees / Paisley Print Shirt with White Collar / Pointed Shoes

Hello all!
I must admit, I found the whole pinafore/dungaree thing that has been making the rounds on blogs quite relentless and so, I vowed to myself that I would not hitch my cart to that bandwagon, yet here I am, quite late - sheepishly chasing after said wagon. I don't mind telling you what changed my mind; it was after seeing Millie Mackintosh (I don't actually watch Made in Chelsea but I'm an admirer of her style) wear these exact Warehouse dungarees. She made them look so 'chic' but cute and I was fully swayed! Although I feel I look significantly more like an 8 year old than she did with these chubby cheeks I've been cursed with. Let me know what you think about dungarees/pinafores!

Cropped Kimono Jacket / Wide Brim Hat / Black Gem Necklace

Hello all!
On Friday I spent the day in London with my mother. We were aiming primarily to return the unwanted items we had been accumulating, but unsurprisingly ended up doing considerably more shopping than un-shopping. (We'd also planned to go to The National Portrait Gallery but she forgot her glasses, so that plan failed spectacularly!) Also, I hope you'll be able to tell that I have a new camera (yay!) which is supposedly 3x the image quality and I'm so happy with how my first round of outfit pictures have turned out. Usually if I take photographs on dull, overcast days I feel like I have to fiddle with the lighting to capture the colours accurately, but no more!
I also cannot fully explain to you the joy I felt whilst I was perusing H&M's 'The New Icons' collection and noticed this hat - sold out in all sizes but LARGE. Cue choirs of angels. For once I do not have to sob over a beautiful hat which only comes in 'One Size Fits All'.

Sheer Floral Maxi Dress / Wide Brim Hat / Gold Belt

Hello all!
A floral dress is the absolute epitome of spring/summer, so I didn't need any persuading to put on this beautiful sheer skirted, floral maxi dress that I've been longing to wear since I acquired it several weeks ago. I particularly love the dainty, elegant sleeves and the beautiful movement in the skirt as you walk. Of course, the need for a big hat goes without saying. I feel the neckline is perhaps a little daring for me, but I like to think the length of the skirt helps me just about get away with it without looking a bit... overly cheeky for the daytime. Let me know what you think - not cheeky at all? Far too cheeky? Perfect balance of cheekiness? (As of now, cheeky is my word of the day.)

Off-The-Shoulder Paisley Print Dress / Miu Miu Sunglasses

Hello all!
I'm sure you'll have noticed that this sweet little piece by Motel is quite the lookalike for a rather more pricey Topshop dress I wore a few weeks ago (you can see me wearing it here). Who's version came first? - perhaps we shall never know. All I can say is, being the happy owner of them both, I can honestly tell you that they are both as beautiful and enjoyable to wear in their own ways. For me, this Motel dress is incredibly wearable and day-appropriate, and at less than half the price of Topshop's version it's quite hard to resist! As well as being exquisitely patterned, it's also very easy to move about in (which is a lot to say for an off the shoulder number, as they can be quite restrictive and cause me to lose the use of my arms in the style of a Tyrannosaurus rex... so elegant.) So, to summarise, I love it.

Oriental Print Kimono / Neon Necklace / Black Fedora

Hello all!
I hope you're all having a wonderful Easter Sunday.
This is what I'm wearing today (minus the hat - I think only The Queen is allowed to wear hats inside without looking incredibly silly.)
I bought this kimono style jacket about a month ago, and since then it's been displayed on one of the various hooks/rails around my bedroom that I use for displaying clothes. I'd purchased the kimono with a summery outfit in mind, but as it doesn't look like the weather will be complying with that plan anytime soon, I thought I'd try and wear it in a cold-friendly, more practical way. As well as the incredibly beautiful print, I think the silk black trim around the sleeves is such a lovely detail that makes it particularly fun to mix with other textures.
Now I am going to go and eat an obscene amount of chocolate. Happy Easter!

Pink Boucle Jacket / Oversized Bow Blouse / Faux Fur Collar

Hello all!
After gazing longingly at my ever-increasing collection of 'spring clothes' piling up on my curtain rail (or what I like to refer to as my 'new in' rail - who needs to actually be able to see out of their window anyway?) I decided to reject this vile weather and embrace the fact that it is now officially spring by repelling the snow and brightening up the world with some pink.
This sleeveless blouse is a new addition and now, a new favourite. (Although I do feel I look a bit reminiscent of an Easter Egg with my giant head perched atop an oversized bow...)

Jacket / Shoes : ZARA. Blouse : French Connection. Faux Fur Stole / Trousers : Topshop. Gloves : River Island.

I panic-bought this blouse on Oxford Street at 10o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, when I was due to be participating in a styling challenge for 'More!' magazine at 11o'clock. For once, I cannot blame my lack of organisation and bad timekeeping, but instead I shall point my rather disappointed finger at ASOS who failed to fulfill their promise of 'next evening delivery'. Meaning 1. I spent the evening before gazing out of the window waiting for my parcel with sad puppy eyes (you may suggest I should have created a plan B... no! I reject plan B. I only settle for plan A.) and 2. I had to style an entirely new outfit on the morning of the actual event. Uh-oh. In the end though, it all went as well as it could have gone and I'm looking forward to sharing the results with you in April!
